The Winemaker's Reserve is a barrel selection each vintage, primarily or entirely from Dijon clones planted in 2000-2001 in the West Block.  Kevin and Beth blind taste to choose the best barrels and then experiment with blending to ensure a delicious, integrated, and excellent example of what Dion Vineyard vines can produce.  100-150 cases produced annually.

Our Chehalem Mts blend, now also known as Laurelwood District Blend, is a blend of the 5 clones of Pinot Noir we grow on the Estate - Pommard, 115, 114, 667, and 777.  We barrel select for Old Vines and Reserve, then blend the rest of the barrels.  This is bottled in screwcap and meant to be approachable young.  A delicious expression of the Laurelwood District Pinot Noir.

We have about 4 acres of Chardonnay, on the area surrounding the winery.  Our still Chardonnay is whole cluster pressed, fermented in mostly oak, with a little stainless steel, and goes through Malo-lactic secondary fermentation.  We are looking for a balance of fruit, acidity and oak in this wine.
